Vizcaya Museum and Gardens Engagement Session - Jonathan & Lisette

Jonathan and Lisette came to us looking for engagement photos that felt timeless, romantic, and full of that old world charm. They were dreaming of something classic and elegant, with European vibes and lush garden scenery. As soon as they described their vision, I knew a Vizcaya engagement session was the perfect fit.

We scheduled their engagement shoot for midday, on one of those bright and sunny Miami afternoons. Clear blue skies, warm light, and the gardens in full bloom, it couldn’t have been a more gorgeous day. Now, midday sun can be a little intense for photography, but Vizcaya has so many shaded nooks and soft light pockets that we were able to keep everything flattering and glowing. It’s truly a dream location for engagement photography.

As we wandered through the stone archways and manicured gardens, I focused on capturing those in between moments, natural smiles, quiet touches, and the kind of candid, emotional shots that make engagement photography so meaningful. The historic architecture and dramatic landscaping at Vizcaya gave us endless variety, from romantic staircases to fountain filled courtyards.

Jonathan and Lisette wanted their love story to come through in every image, and that’s exactly what we created together.
